Foundation stone is laid for senior citizen housing complex ´Haus Christo´ in Blankenfelde / Berlin
In the presence of many guests including the town Mayor Ortwin Baier and the investor/owner of Greenrock Investment, the ´grundsteinlegung´ at Haus Christo on Märkische Promenade 1a in Blankenfelde (Berlin) took place. This nursing home/senior citizen complex is a development in conjunction with Kondor Wessels Bouw Berlin and Delta Immobilienentwicklung Deutschland. The Mayor and representatives from both parties, together with nursing home developer, Michael Bethke placed a symbolic time capsule within the building’s foundation stone to inaugurate the start of the project. Edwin Meijerink, General Director of Delta in Germany stated, “ Once again this is further proof that strong partners in the current times means development needs can be met for a growing target group, in this case, senior citizens.’ The project has an approximate floor surface area of 7,000m2 and is scheduled for delivery at the beginning of next year.
The complex in Blankenfelde consists of 94 nursing appartments and 8 sheltered accommodations on the ground floor. The building is laid out around an inner courtyard and attractive garden. Haus Christo offers living in small residential groups and there is a variety of types of care available from very light assistance to special full care. In addition there are also rooms equipped for temporary accommodation and care. The interior design is based on a Mediterranean style theme to make a feel-good atmosphere for the residents.
