The greenest Distribution Centre in Germany

In early 2022, Delta will begin the construction of the new Levi Strauss & Co distribution center. With the innovative logistics building, we will realize the first Cradle-to-Cradle® optimized logistics project in Germany.

The property covers 70,000 m² and will be leased by Levi Strauss & Co for a period of 20 years from 2023. The operation is highly automated and provides jobs for 650 employees. In the project we apply all our experience with C2C. Naturally, C2C certified materials are used and the building is Design for Re-use. The materials will be included in a materials passport.

e, A lot of attention has of cours, been paid to optimizing the air quality to create a pleasant and productive working climate. The design of Quadrant4 ensures optimal social interaction and inspiration and contains numerous communal and green areas. Upon completion, the distribution center will be LEED Platinum and WELL certified.

The project is being realized on the site of the former Wulfen 1/2 mining shafts, which were decommissioned in 1958 and 1959 and dismantled in 2003. The Industrial Park Große Heide Wulfen is being developed at this location by the municipality of Dorsten, state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Next Generation

The European distribution center contains all the elements that are the trademark of our construction projects. But with Levi's, Delta is taking a new, aesthetic step. We believe that distribution centers, like all construction works, should make a positive contribution to the built environment. That is why the distribution center is provided with lush greenery around and on the building. Its value is not only aesthetic, it is also functional: biodiversity is promoted and the roof acts as a filter for the water used in the building. In addition, an attractive environment is created where employees can take their breaks, but also for meetings among themselves. It has been scientifically proven that green contributes to the well-being of people and has a positive influence on productivity.
