At Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp, Bosch, Siemens, NEFF and Gaggenau set themselves up under the banner of BSH Netherlands in what is now known as the Inspiration House 20|20. With a harmonious fusion of office space, a museum, interactive showrooms and cooking studios, the building exemplifies the historic passion that BSH has for design and its commitment to sustainability. From the breathtakingly beautiful atrium with its green wall and softly filtered daylight, to the flexible workspaces and the integration of natural elements, every aspect of the building encourages innovation, collaboration and sustainability.
Visitors are very often impressed as they enter the atrium: indeed, it has four floors and the green wall is made up of 1,000 lush plants that line the meeting rooms. The glass roof allows soft light to shine through the solar cells to light up the entire space in a natural way.
Four distinct spaces each celebrate the heritage and evolution of Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff, who collectively have a stake in the modern home base. In state-of-the-art workshops, customers take cooking classes; in showrooms, brands demonstrate their latest innovations: it's a home worthy of leading innovative brands.
A glass facade borders the atrium on each floor. Behind each façade, you will find a mix of flexible workspaces: quiet one-person work cubicles, informal meeting areas, coffee corners, conference rooms and open office spaces interspersed with plants to dampen the noise. The ability to easily meet and consult with each other has dramatically changed the way business is done: the number of internal emails has fallen by more than 26% as colleagues prefer to meet face-to-face. In summer, the restaurant prepares lunch meals to take outside to the park.
With climbing and hanging plants, natural light and ventilation, the whole building seems like it is breathing. Outside, half of the building is covered with plants to regulate the indoor climate and filter rainwater that is then used for the sanitary facilities. Thousands of solar cells capture energy to power the building.
Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) flooring is leased based on the Product-as-a-Service principle and recycled circularly after use. The use of natural materials in the construction is not immediately visible, but you can feel it somehow: the way in which the building welcomes you is calm, grounded, natural and warm.
"It's no coincidence that we've grown so fast since we moved into this building. It has to do with the way our people work together. This is done as really well as possible. What I really like here is hard to put a finger on, but it is basically the light. It is a very special light. It feels like being outdoors. That's why you feel so at ease when you're in this building."

"It is extremely significant that it is a building with a story, where sustainability is tremendously important - so it was a very conscious decision to go for a Cradle-to-Cradle building. ‘Inspiration House 20|20’, as we have come to call it, plays a very important role in our success.”
